The Hoover House, with its tragic past, is a fitting location for the investigation. Originally built as a private residence by Ira Hoover, the house has a dark history. Ira passed away in the Holzer Suite, and his daughter Eleanor suffered the same fate 13 years later in the same room. Since then, the house has changed hands multiple times and even served as a long-term care facility.
In the previous episode, Katrina and Heather tried to recreate a mysterious photograph in the basement and conduct a spirit box session in the Holzer Suite, a room known for visitors being pinched by unseen hands. In the Hoover Suite, they read about previous ghostly encounters and conduct another spirit box session, receiving intriguing responses, including what sounded like the name of the house’s owner.
This time, following a hunch that more paranormal activity might occur when people are alone in the house, the duo formulate a plan to split up for solo vigils, a plan which also involves the team’s producer, Texas-based, filmmaker Kat Croft.
Katrina, Heather and Kat will each focus on a different floor in the house to see if being alone causes anything to occur.
Katrina chooses to explore the basement, a location that has had little activity in their previous investigations. Katrina immediately feels uneasy being alone in the basement and decides to offer the spirits a shot of whiskey, which is said to be a favourite of some spirits. Katrina also uses a ghost hunting device called a Geoport in an attempt communicate with the spirits. Despite feeling uncomfortable, Katrina doesn’t experience any significant paranormal activity in the basement.
Heather decides to investigate the third floor’s Rosebud suite, where there have been reports of hearing tapping noises in the hallway and feeling as if someone is watching them. Heather hears tapping noises and experiences some strange sensations, but nothing particularly dramatic occurs.
Kat explores the first floor, where there have been sightings of a shadow figure. Kat reports feeling uncomfortable and watched, experiencing various unexplained taps and sounds. Although Kat is nervous about being alone in the house, she conducts her solo investigation without incident.
After their solo vigils, the team comes together to discuss their plan for the rest of the night. The team decides to sleep in different locations alone to give themselves the best chance of experiencing paranormal activity during the night. However, despite their efforts, the night proves to be relatively quiet.
The episode marks the end of their investigation at the 1912 Historic Hoover House, but viewers can expect more spooky adventures from ‘Travel the Dead’ in future episodes.
The episode was shared on Katrina’s official YouTube channel. Katrina is best known for her appearances as a lead investigator in ‘Portals To Hell’ alongside Jack Osbourne, and prior to that as the co-host of ‘Paranormal Lockdown’ with Nick Groff.
