Pilots report sightings of multiple UFOs over the US and Canada

An audio recording was published online in which several pilots (mostly passenger airliners) discuss UFOs they noticed while flying over Canada. This happened on January 19, 2024.

“I’ve been in contact with a company plane over Thunder Bay and they think they might be satellites,” a Winnipeg air traffic controller told pilots around 4:45 a.m. local time.

“I’m certainly not an expert, but they move from side to side and then move away from each other and then create triangles. It doesn’t look like they’re moving in some kind of orbit. But I’m not an expert on that,” he replied.

He was told by an Air Canada pilot who was flying from Seattle to Winnipeg at that time and noticed a UFO over the Canadian province of Saskatchewan.

“Yeah, it’s kind of weird. About six of them are just randomly flying at high altitude at the 12 o’clock mark,” the pilot of a Flair Airlines flight from Vancouver to Toronto chimed in.

“They’re definitely not satellites. They’re not like anything I’ve ever seen in my 15 years of flying at night,” said the pilot of a Morningstar Air Express cargo flight from Calgary to Toronto.

This audio recording lasts 13 minutes and is compiled from 2.5 hours of recordings of pilot communications published on the website LiveATC.net, which broadcasts and archives radio communications of pilots.

The UFO conversation between the various pilots lasted from approximately 4:20 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. Eastern Time.

“There’s no active airspace, there’s no military airspace, there’s basically nothing that we know about. Honestly, I have no idea what it could be,” the air traffic controller admits in the recording.

At least four pilots reported seeing strange lights in the skies over Canada that morning. These include flights from Flair and Morningstar, as well as two Air Canada flights.

According to their estimates, the UFO lights were moving much higher than them, at about an altitude of 30 km (!), which is beyond the reach of most aircraft, including military ones. Two other crews also reported that they had recently had similar UFO sightings over Canada.

“I didn’t see them today (Jan. 19), but we’ve been seeing these lights for about 18 months or so, just so you know,” said the pilot of a Cargojet flight from Hamilton flying from Ontario to Winnipeg.

“Wow, that’s interesting. I’ve had this happen too, but just westbound, there’s been three or four similar incidents in the last month or so,” said a WestJet pilot flying from Winnipeg to Toronto.

“I’ve never seen them go east, only west. And yes, it was the same: there was movement everywhere and sometimes they formed a triangle, and sometimes a diamond and a square. They are bright and just appear everywhere,” the Cargojet pilot added .

“Of course, it would be great to have answers to this question,” another pilot interjected.

Later it turned out that on the same evening of January 19, some American pilots also saw a UFO in the sky. These conversations are taken from released audio from Memphis Air Traffic Control, USA.

“They’re definitely aliens,” joked one pilot at 8:30 p.m. ET.

“We’re north of Birmingham, looking west and seeing lots of lights,” another replied.

“Do you think these are Starlink satellites?”

“No, I don’t think so. Starlink doesn’t blink.”

“Wow, yeah! I see it too!”

“What are we looking at?”

“Three of them formed a triangle.”
