“My Sister Pushed Me into the Fire in a Past Life”

There was always something extraordinary about Kimberly from the very moment she came into the world, reports dailystar.co.uk.

She was born with a striking blaze of red hair and spent the first four days of her life crying incessantly, refusing to sleep. Her mother, Angela, exhausted and overwhelmed after months of little rest, eventually brought Kimberly into her own bed, and as she put it, “life got much better.”

Speaking to LMN for a programme titled The Ghost Inside My Child, Angela, who hails from San Diego, shared that Kimberly displayed a remarkable sense of empathy from a very young age. She would often become anxious in chaotic or overwhelming situations.

Concerned, her family took her to a therapist to learn relaxation and breathing techniques. Angela reflected, “I wasn’t sure, but I started to think that maybe her sensitive nature was why she couldn’t sleep. When I finally realised what was causing her sleep issues, I felt completely helpless.”

Angela recalled a particularly chilling moment that sent shivers down her spine. One day, while Kimberly was playing, it appeared as though she was talking to someone. Angela asked, “Kimberly, who are you talking to?” to which Kimberly replied, “I’m talking to my sister, Mama.”

This response was puzzling, as Kimberly did not have a sister at that time. When Angela pressed further, asking, “How come you play with your sister so much when you don’t have a sister?” Kimberly responded, “No, no, Mama, the sister from when I lived before.”

Angela admitted she felt confused but “didn’t want to make it weird for her.” She brought her concerns to a paediatrician, who dismissed it as a “sign of intelligence” and attributed it to Kimberly’s vivid imagination.

However, not long after, Angela decided to ask her daughter more about this “sister” and whether she had a name. Kimberly replied, “Oh yes, Mom, her name is Sarah.

She likes to come and play with me because she feels sorry.” When Angela asked what Sarah felt sorry about, Kimberly explained, “When we lived before, she killed me by pushing me into the fire, but it was an accident, and she feels really sorry.”

Angela recalled, “In my head, I was thinking, ‘Oh my goodness, we have a problem. This is not normal.’” She added, “It was very hard to have a child who was experiencing such intense anxiety. You don’t really know how to help them. I was worried.”

As Kimberly grew older, Angela continued to ask her about Sarah and the memories she seemed to carry. She was stunned by the level of detail Kimberly provided.

According to Angela, Kimberly told her, “I lived in Liverpool, England, between 1860 and 1870. My dad was a merchant, my brother’s name was Thomas, and I was named Christina. I had a sister named Sarah and a mother named Anna. We were poor and slept in a very small home in a straw bed.

One night, while we were all sleeping, the stove caused a fire. My sister, thinking she was helping me when a beam fell, actually pushed me into the fire because it was about to fall on me.”

Angela reflected, “I wouldn’t want to sleep either if a fire started while I was sleeping. So all the little stories about Sarah wanting to come and play with her because she felt bad made sense. It was so matter-of-fact, I knew she was telling the truth. She believed it. I started to wonder, could my child have lived before?”

The programme also featured Kimberly, now 21, who still struggles to let go of Sarah.

She shared, “In my past life, I passed away in a house fire… I feel like I will always have sleeping problems in this life. In this life, I have a really hard time with tasks that involve growing up. High school graduation was really stressful for me because that was a stepping stone to me becoming an adult. I think it’s because, in my last life, I died really young. Therefore, this time around, it’s my first time being an adult.”

Kimberly revealed that she no longer sees Sarah but feels her presence and is “comforted by the idea she’s following me.”

During the programme, Angela and Kimberly sought the help of St. Michael, asking him to guide Sarah to leave Kimberly and find peace. They lit candles and said a prayer, hoping that the saint, considered closest to angels, could help sever their bond. Angela expressed, “I’m hoping Kimberly can move on with this life and Sarah can move on to her next life.”

An update at the end of the programme revealed that Kimberly has since moved out of her mother’s home and is planning to attend cosmetology school, taking steps toward building her future in this life.
