“They Can Move Humans Through Walls”

Robert Hastings, a prominent UFO researcher and author of UFOs & Nukes, has investigated military encounters with unidentified aerial phenomena.
But Hastings is no mere observer of the phenomenon—he claims to be a participant. In a recent interview on The Good Trouble Show, Hastings revealed that he has experienced multiple abductions by non-human entities (NHI) since the 1980s, describing them as “real, physical confrontations” that defy conventional understanding.
“I don’t care about your educational background, your intelligence, if you don’t accept the reality of this, you’ve missed the boat,” Hastings said during the interview.
Hastings’ first abduction experience occurred in August 1988 during a camping trip near Albuquerque, New Mexico. He was with a group of 15 people when, as he recounts, he and two others were taken by non-human entities.
“What occurred that night made me convinced beyond any doubt that I, in fact, together with two people, had been abducted by non-human entities,” Hastings said. “When it occurred, of course, it was shocking. I never anticipated anything like that occurring in my life.”
Though Hastings was familiar with abduction stories from researchers like Bud Hopkins and John Mack, he never imagined it would happen to him. Over the years, he says, the experiences continued, with multiple abductions occurring from the late 1980s through 2014.
“It’s real, these these experiences are physical, they are face-to-face confrontations with NHI. They’re not psychological fantasies, they’re not delusions and so it’s part of the story. And if the full story is to be told about the UFO reality, I have to from my own perspective incorporate this in all of my other work.”
One of Hastings’ most vivid encounters took place on December 31, 2014. He recalls waking up in the middle of the night to see a four-foot-tall entity standing at the foot of his bed.
“It was clearly a grey,” Hastings said. “Large bulbous head, I couldn’t see facial features, they were in the dark, but very skinny frame about four feet tall.”
He described feeling paralyzed, knowing “something was about to happen.” In what felt like an instant, he was back in bed, with sunlight streaming through the window. Hours had passed.
“As much as I wish that it hadn’t happened, it did, and over the course of the late 80s all through the 90s and into at least 2009 or 2014 rather, I had multiple experiences that could be characterized as abduction by nonhuman entities.”
Hastings’ claims are not isolated. He has interviewed 167 military veterans as part of his research, seven of whom he says have also experienced abductions. Among them are Robert Salas, a former U.S. Air Force officer, and Robert Jacobs, a retired Air Force lieutenant.
Salas, for instance, went public in 2013 with his account of a 1985 abduction. He described being paralyzed in bed as a bright blue light filled the room. Small figures entered, levitated him off the bed, and took him through a closed window.
“Somehow these entities can move themselves and the humans they’re abducting through solid objects like closed windows and doors and walls,” Hastings explained. “It’s probably a quantum phenomenon how they do it, we don’t know.”
Hastings acknowledges that his claims may strain his credibility, but he believes it’s time to speak openly.
“I decided for reasons that I thought would be detrimental to my credibility, if I went public with this back in the late 80s when these incidents started occurring. I think the time has come for me to go public with it.”
He urges skeptics to reconsider their dismissal of abduction accounts, arguing that these experiences are an integral part of the broader UFO phenomenon.
“People who say, ‘I’ll believe in the military cases but I’m not going to ever believe in abductions’—you’re fooling yourselves,” Hastings said. “If you don’t accept the reality of these kinds of experiences, you’ve missed the boat.”
For Hastings, the evidence is not just in the stories of others but in his own life. His experiences, he says, are not fantasies or delusions but physical, face-to-face encounters with beings that operate beyond human understanding.
“So it’s real and you know the people who wish this away as some sort of fantasy or delusion you know it’s you’re fighting a losing battle. At some point in human history this will be known to be real, and part of the situation.”
