Filmmaker Urges New Pope to Release Secret Proof Christ Survived Crucifixion
Filmmaker and musician Mark Christopher Lee, known for his fearless questioning of religious and political institutions, has issued a dramatic new appeal to the Vatican and the newly appointed Pope: release long-hidden documents that allegedly reveal Jesus Christ survived the crucifixion, married Mary Magdalene, and started a family in the South of France.
Lee, who recently made headlines by demanding the Vatican disclose its alleged knowledge of UFOs, now claims that ancient records held in the Vatican archives could shatter the foundations of Christianity.
He believes these secrets are so powerful they may be linked to the mysterious death of Vatican banker Roberto Calvi, whose body was found hanging beneath London’s Blackfriars Bridge in 1982.
While Calvi’s death has widely been attributed to financial corruption and Mafia connections, Lee presents a more chilling theory.
“People have come forward suggesting that Calvi was about to reveal explosive information regarding the true history of Christ,” says Lee.
“He allegedly had access to documents hidden deep within the Vatican – documents that would have shown Jesus did not die on the cross, but escaped and lived with Mary Magdalene and their children. If revealed, it could bring the Church to its knees.”
These themes form the core of Lee’s provocative new film, The Last Grail Hunter, which stars EastEnders veteran John Altman as the maverick truth-seeker Johnny Calvi – a character inspired by Roberto Calvi.
The film explores ancient conspiracy theories involving the Freemasons, the Priory of Sion, and the true meaning of the Holy Grail – not as a chalice, but as a symbol of the sacred bloodline descended from Jesus and Mary Magdalene.
“People laughed at The Da Vinci Code,” says Lee, “but many of its concepts are rooted in long-standing theories supported by hidden codes in art – especially the works of Leonardo da Vinci. There’s a secret history encoded all around us, waiting to be uncovered.”
The Last Grail Hunter will be released worldwide on June 20, 2025.
