Dark Waters Radio Announces Internship Program and New Hire
New Orleans, LA – October 27, 2023 – Dark Waters Radio, New Orleans’ leading paranormal and conspiracy talk radio station, is excited to announce the launch of its internship program for young professionals interested in radio broadcasting and production.
As part of the inaugural intern class, Dark Waters has hired four exceptional black women to take on vital roles at the station. Ebony Washington from Southern University A & M College has been named the station’s Program Director replacing Deuntra Doss of ( The BDRP Youtube Channel ) and will oversee daily operations. Joining her is Lakisha Brown from Southern University, who will serve as Marketing Executive Intern focusing on advertising sales and promotions. Tamika Banks and Nicole Robinson from Xavier University New Orleans will work as Production Interns, getting hands-on experience in editing, technical direction, and creating show content.
“We’re thrilled to provide these bright young students from historically black colleges and universities with real-world training in the broadcasting industry,” said James F. Williams , Station Manager and owner of Dark Waters Radio. “Ebony, Lakisha, Tamika and Nicole impressed us with their drive, creativity and unique perspectives. We have no doubt their contributions will help take Dark Waters Radio to new heights.”
The interns will work closely with Dark Waters’ experienced team of producers, hosts and technicians. They will also get the chance to appear on-air, coordinate special events, and work with clients and sponsors.
Dark Waters’ new internship program aims to open doors for young professionals from diverse backgrounds and give them the tools to succeed in broadcasting. The station is dedicated to inclusion and advancing the next generation of radio talent.
