Bigfoot Filmed by Drone Walking in Utah After Trail of Footprints Found in a Sasquatch Hotspot

One of the most common reasons given for why Bigfoot is rarely seen, or when it is seen it manages to disappear so quickly, is that most researchers believe the creature prefers to live in dense wooded areas. That is why it is so unusual that one of the top Bigfoot sightings hotspots in the U.S. is in Utah – specifically, on the Wasatch Mountain range which is barren of trees at higher elevations and snow-covered for months. A Bigfoot would stick out like a really big sore thumb in the snow … and that is exactly how an eagle-eyed witness in Farmington, Utah, saw and recorded something walking in the snow across the range that looked too big, too fast and too high in too deep snow to be a human. When that video hit the Internet, another resident in the area decided to get closer, so he flew his drone over what appeared to be the same location and found a long trail of very large unbooted footprints. Did these witnesses find solid evidence of Bigfoot in an area noted for its sightings?

“Sasquatch Traversing Deep Snow near Wasatch Mountain Peak.”

The video of what appears to be a Bigfoot walking across Francis Peak, a part of the Wasatch Range in Davis County, Utah, was uploaded on February 8, 2023, by the Rocky Mountain Sasquatch Organization (RMSO), which noted that the video was taken earlier that day. (You can watch the video here.) Francis Peak has an elevation of 9,560 feet (2,910 meters) and whatever was walking across it was near the top on a steep slope in deep snow. The witness was in Farmington, also in Davis County, which has an elevation of about 4,305 ft (1,312 meters). While hiking is allowed, the mountain in that area is said to be rugged and most of the unpaved roads are one-lane, steep and switch backed. RMSO stabilized the video and magnified the creature – it appeared to be an upright humanoid walking fast towards the sun, as its shadow trailed directly behind it. The RMSO narrator called it “amazing” footage.

“I got a video from someone saying they spotted SASQUATCH in my backyard…. So of course I took my helicopter up to look…. You tell me…”

A week later, the Rocky Mountain Sasquatch Organization posted a second video by another witness who had been informed about the first and decided to send a drone with a camera over the area where it appeared the Bigfoot was walking at a fast pace – an area that was much closer to his home. (Watch the video here.) The video shows a long straight line of what appear to be large footprints. The RMSO narrator notes that the prints are so straight, it is almost as if the creature is walking a tightrope. The narrator says this is typical if the Bigfoot is running or walking briskly. It could also indicate that the Bigfoot was familiar with the area and sure of its footing. Because the prints are in snow on a barren sloe, there is little to help get a perspective on the size of the prints or the length of the stride, so we have to go by the trained eye of the folks at RMSO, who have seen and investigated a number of sightings in this area of Utah. (More videos of other Bigfoot encounters can be seen here.)

“Hunters in Provo, Utah claim to have spotted the sasquatch in the mountain range. The video, which does not offer any kind of definitive proof that it is “the missing link,” does show something walking around in the trees.”

In February of 2019, local media showed a video (see it here) of an alleged Bigfoot walking in the same mountain range. This one has less snow – the alleged creature is walking on dry ground not far above a residential neighborhood. The witness believes he and a child are watching Bigfoot because of its size, as he is heard to say, “But look how huge he is!”. Also in 2019, another group looking for Bigfoot recorded something large walking up a snowy slope near Lone Peak. (See it here.) It was estimated to be 8 feet tall, trudging in deep snow in a snowstorm at an elevation of nearly 9,000 feet.

“I think I have captured a video of a Sasquatch 03/23/19. At around 10:30 AM. Up on Wasatch Range. Near Lone Peak. It was high up to where I don’t think any man will hike up it. I think it’s something to check into.”

Outside magazine published a list of its “The 10 Most Convincing Bigfoot Sightings” in 2022 and one of them happened in Provo Canyon in Wasatch County in 2012. A video taken by two witnesses (see it here) shows something big, dark and hairy hidden by brush and trees before it appears to stand up – at that point, the two witnesses ran away. Some commenters say they see other Bigfoot heads in the video and most feel it is authentic.

In 2017, a family was driving to the Provo Municipal Airport and the young daughter in the back seat was recording the view out the car window when she saw what her mother believes was a Bigfoot moving around in a cornfield. (Watch the video here.) This video does not get as many positive comments – some believe it is a farm worker in a coat. This just shows how difficult the job of investigating these sighting is … and it illustrates that the more sightings there are in an area, the more people with cameras will be around looking for them and increasing the probability of sightings that are both legitimate and questionable.

“We have 1,150 traffic cams throughout the state. Sometimes they catch some unusual things. Check out this image caught on Soldier’s Summit.”

Also in 2017, the Utah Department of Transportation posted a photo from a traffic camera the Soldier Summit mountain pass in … you guessed it …  Wasatch County which shows something that it admits could be Bigfoot. (See it here.)

“I saw movement in the trees and that’s when I move the camera to capture whatever it was. I was scared already but when it stepped into the clearing outside of the trees I was absolutely terrified. I only saw it for a second before I ran. The video captured more than I can remember. I only remember it being the most massive animal I have seen and I can’t think about it without shaking. I don’t want to say that it is for sure a bigfoot or sasquatch, but I don’t know what else it could be.”

In 2015, a witness in American Fork Canyon located in the Wasatch Mountains recorded something huge that he believed was too large to be an elk or moose or bear. (Watch the video here.)

Are you convinced yet that the Wasatch Mountain range is a Bigfoot hotspot and a great area for capturing something that looks like the ones on these videos? Salt Lake Magazine counted more than 100 Bigfoot sightings in the Wasatch Range, so many that they refer to the area as Sasq-Wasatch. Does this sound like the perfect place for a Bigfoot hunting vacation? See you there!
